Wellness Practice
Ideally suited for support workers and volunteers who are developing their work practice and language to focus on wellness outcomes with the older person. Participants will undertake an interactive sculpture activity to experience the wellness approach first hand. This thought provoking session engages the workforce to stand in the shoes of an older person.
Learning Outcomes:
✓ Understand Wellness & Reablement in the context of ageing in society today
✓ Enhanced knowledge about models of care including Wellness, Reablement and Active Ageing
✓ Identify strategies to strengthen work practice & enhance Reablement outcomes for older people
