Around the Ministers Table

Over the last few months, our focus has been to meet with several of the new State Ministers including Hon. Katrine Hildyard MP (Minister for Seniors and Ageing Well), Hon. Blair Boyer MP (Minister for Health) and Hon. Kyam Maher (Attorney General) with the aim to continue to build and maintain strong working relationships with ministers who support the vision and the work we do at Catalyst Foundation.

Our conversations were foremost about how we as a collective can best support older South Australians. Our mission is to support and guide people to access independent information, services and support, so that they are informed to make important decisions and empowered to keep asking questions.

A recent meeting with Minister Hildyard was about sharing information about the most common reasons why people call our telephone information service.
These are some of the top reasons why people call Catalyst Foundation:

Our emphasis is about working collaboratively with government, service providers, and other businesses to ensure people receive the best quality care and support.

Spotlight

Julie visited 95 general practices in the Northern Metro Adelaide to promote the
Care Finder program.

On behalf of Catalyst Foundation, Julie Lawrie has delivered a Care Finder Outreach Program to Medical Practices in the Northern Adelaide Metro Region.

This initiative successfully increased awareness of the Care Finder program, strengthened relationships with primary care providers and created opportunities for future referrals of older people requiring intensive support to access aged care services.

Julie also established face to face relationships with GP staff, fostering long term collaboration and ensuring staff understood the purpose and the referral process for the Care Finder program.

We're looking forward to...
