Catalyst Foundation facilitates two ongoing monthly LGBTIQA+ social groups for over 50s in Adelaide. You can view our 2026 social program calendar with venues and dates for each month here (COMING SOON)
Catalyst has been running regular social dinners for the LGBTIQA+ community since 2015. These dinners are held on the 1st Thursday of each month and are open to all LGBTIQA+ people and their friends, partners and support workers.
The dinner is a great opportunity to connect or re-connect with the LGBTIQA+ community, in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.
Note that the cost of your meal is at your own expense.
The Book Club is a social group of LGBTIQA+ book lovers. Unlike most book clubs, where the entire group read the same book, this one is less formal and more social. Bring along the books or other written sources that you’ve been reading, share your thoughts, and get tips for new things to read from others.
You are welcome to come along at any time and, given the informal nature, you can attend when you are available or come along every month.
Our LGBTIQA+ Communities Programs Officer sends a monthly e-newsletter with information and news relating to our LGBTIQA+ activities, as well as inclusive programs, services and upcoming events.
If you require information about services that support older LGBTIQA+ people, as well as what questions you should ask of an Aged Care provider, please contact out LGBTIQA+ Communities Programs Officer at 8168 8776 or at lgbtiprojectofficer@catalystfoundation.com.au.
